Bike and Run Sessions

Bike and Run

Some of you will have already experienced our monthly Bike and Run, now in its 12th year. Taking part in this is a great way to fine tune your race zone training for Bike, T2, and Run sections.

They are on Tuesday evenings, approximately monthly, throughout the summer.

Based in Creech Heathfield, starting from 6:30pm or 6:45pm (see below) and consist of a 3 lap bike (11 miles) and 3 mile out and back run.

All abilities welcome.

It is organised as a training session with everyone starting at one minute intervals.

You can run it as part of a relay team.

You get your splits and total time recorded for you - we're always glad of volunteers to come and assist with time keeping, photography and providing support!  It is a great way to meet other club members to socialise and share racing tips.

Venue

Just down the road, past the entrance to Taunton Vale golf club, Creech Heathfield.

Last session of the season - Handicap ride - will start slightly earlier at 6:30. All welcome - even if you have not done it this season - we will slot you in somewhere.  Slowest people set off first and if the handicap works then everyone finishing together!

This is not a coached session.

Training is delivered and overseen by a BTF or appropriately qualified coach, having carried out appropriate RA and attendance register. Participants must be current club members* and are insured through the Club’s Liability Insurance. These sessions appear on the club’s website and training calendar as regularly recurring club sessions, and in the event of the usual coach being unavailable a cover coach will be sought in order to ensure continuity.
