The Next Triathlon Race will be on 12th July 2020

Races for all abilities from beginners to experienced athletes.

The novice race comprises a 200m swim, a 12k bike section and a 2.5k run. Suitable for all abilities aged 15 (as at 31.12.20) and above. There are separate races for Youths (15-16), Juniors (17-19) and adults 20+

The sprint race is over a 400m swim, 22k bike and 5k run course. Separate race for Youths and Juniors (15-19) and Adults 20+

This will be the 21st anniversary of the race and we pride ourselves on putting on a friendly, well organised event.  This is a BTF sanctioned race with secure transition area, part road closure, signage, marshalling, chip timing, and quality prizes for overall and age group winners and a medal and vest for all competitors.

There is a free training day prior to the race where you can practice the course and get top tips from club members.

Read the Race Information Pack for general details about this race. A fresh version will be added in the run up to this year's race, but this will give you a very good idea of the courses, rules and timings for the day.

Unfortunately there was no triathlon event in 2019. This was because we are a small club trying to run a few events in the area and we have limited funds and can not risk running the event at a loss. Last year we had lots of disappointed entrants and lots of people who 'WERE' going to enter. We have learned and offered an early bird as well as keeping all costs as low as we possibly can. Having a race with no traffic lights to ruin your time if your keen, lots of marshalls and having the event risk assessed and managed under BTF scrutiny takes a lot of volunteer time which the club does to promote triathlon.

Please dont wait for the closing date as we need to know that we have enough entrants to make the races viable. We are trying to make triathlon accessible to all and local so please support us - we will consider deferals and other circumstances if you enter and can't race (we are not an event business like ironman and challenge where we take your money and don't care - we want you to get your monies worth and you will).

Well done to all our competitors, keep an eye on our social media for updates on future races.
