Committee  and Annual General Meetings

The Club holds 4 meetings a year. Our year-end of the Club is the end of June, and the AGM will normally be held shortly thereafter.  The Club is Limited by guarantee it is run by a Management Committee who are elected annually at the AGM by the members. Committee meetings are announced in advance through the calendar and Facebook. The meetings are open to all members, and we encourage everyone to attend, after all it is YOUR Club.

Club Racing Events

This is our local race and is held in Wellington each May. As a Tri Club member we ask for your assistance in the setting up, marshalling on the day and clearing up afterwards! Most club members also take part in the race and come along for the celebratory curry that evening! Another event for the club is the Aquathlon, which is being held on February 15th 2015.  and again the club members are asked to assist in the running of this event. For details on these races please visit the Racing Page

Members Requirements

  • Members are required to marshal at least three out of the four annual club organised events:
    • Aquathlon
    • Triathlon training day
    • Triathlon
    • Junior Aquathlon
  • Members are required to adopt the club ride rules when cycling in a group during club rides.
  • Please swim sensibly when on open water training session.
  • Conduct themselves in accordance with the club code of ethics.

Bike Box Hire

We have three bike boxes that can be hired from the Club for £15 a time.  There is a refundable deposit of £10 for the keys.  Martin Lock has the bike boxes and has agreed to hold them and hire them out, so if any Club member is going away racing, then they are welcome to use them. All we ask is that members only hire them only for the time that they are away (and don't hold on to them), and also that they cover the cost of any repairs if damaged. They will be hired out on a first come basis.

Once you have joined the Club you will be given access to the Club Facebook members page. You will find many interesting topics discussed here and most members will post regularly. You will be emailed your user id and default password. Please login straight away and change your password before using the forum.

Club Kit

The Club does have its own distinctive kit. The club has a range of custom made bike kit, tri suits and running kit. Contact Paul Shergold if you are interested. You can see pictures of the club kit on the club website here.

End of Season Dinner

To wrap up the season, there is an  End of Season dinner and presentations. It’s not at all formal and definitely no Lycra in sight! This is a great chance to get together with your fellow club members and reminisce on the seasons’ highs and lows.

It is usually held in mid November.
