Head of coaching

Nick Smith

As our Head Coach, Nick oversees the Club's Coaching Team and the Club's Training Sessions.  

Guided by the Club's committee he steers the long term development plan for coaching and the coaching structure throughout the club, facilitiates coaches' training, their development and welfare.  He liaises with the BTF and Triathlon England ensuring that we are delivering training a safe, challenging yet fun way accordong to the principles set out by the sports' governing body. as well as inline with the founding principles and ethos of our own club.

Welfare Officer

Andrea Fielding

Our Club's Welfare Officer assists and supports the club in fulfilling our safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusivity responsibilities. 

Andrea ensures the club coaches are suitably certified and members are informed and adhere to British Triathlon Federation safeguarding Policies. 

Andrea is your point of contact should you have any concerns regarding welfare. 

A bit about Andrea: "I'm not sure that I will be very familiar to many club members as I'm not exactly high profile! I originally joined the club many moons ago when the club took over a masters' swim slot at Kings (when Steve Haste ran it). I joined so I could keep up my swimming and have some semblance of keeping fit during the whirlwind years of holding down a teaching job whilst raising a family. I am mainly a social member of the club but I have been known to do the odd triathlon in the dim and distant past and mainly stick to distance swim events. However, thanks to the dream team of Gill (development rides) and Nick (spin sessions) my cycling has developed beyond anything I ever imagined possible and, if I can ever get hold of a decent bike, there may even be a cycling event w
