The Development Ride is aimed at encouraging those who haven't done much group riding before to test their legs on 2 x 20 mile (30 ish km) loops although some weeks we have reverted to a 36 mile (60 - km) with a coffee stop 3/4 way round. Mike Southway usually leads the ride but Kay Southway, Gill Coombs and Gill Smith are fairly 'regular' in attending. We average about 13 mph on the development ride, Development ride we try to all ride at the slowest pace so no-one gets left behind hence the lower pace.

The Development Ride is aimed at encouraging those who haven't done much group riding before to test their legs on 2 x 20 mile (30 ish km) loops although some weeks we have reverted to a 36 mile (60 - km) with a coffee stop 3/4 way round. Mike Southway usually leads the ride but Kay Southway, Gill Coombs and Gill Smith are fairly 'regular' in attending. We average about 13 mph on the development ride, Development ride we try to all ride at the slowest pace so no-one gets left behind hence the lower pace.

The Development Ride is aimed at encouraging those who haven't done much group riding before to test their legs on 2 x 20 mile (30 ish km) loops although some weeks we have reverted to a 36 mile (60 - km) with a coffee stop 3/4 way round. Mike Southway usually leads the ride but Kay Southway, Gill Coombs and Gill Smith are fairly 'regular' in attending. We average about 13 mph on the development ride, Development ride we try to all ride at the slowest pace so no-one gets left behind hence the lower pace.

The Development Ride is aimed at encouraging those who haven't done much group riding before to test their legs on 2 x 20 mile (30 ish km) loops although some weeks we have reverted to a 36 mile (60 - km) with a coffee stop 3/4 way round. Mike Southway usually leads the ride but Kay Southway, Gill Coombs and Gill Smith are fairly 'regular' in attending. We average about 13 mph on the development ride, Development ride we try to all ride at the slowest pace so no-one gets left behind hence the lower pace.

Check that it’s on before turning up first time - email frankie@blagroves.co.uk for further information. The group runs for about an hour (6-7 miles) at 8:30-9:00min/mile pace depending on who shows up. No body gets left behind and new runners of all ability are most welcome. The group will happily loop when required. During the winter we run on lit roads around town, in the summer we prefer country roads/footpaths out of town.

An opportunity to work primarily on your stroke. With low coach ratios video analysis this is an excellent opportunity to improve your swimming. It is not just for the beginner it is there for all types. Moreover, if you have a need to swim for two hours this is your chance. With low swimmer numbers it is a great chance to do your thing. This session is ideal for the beginner someone who can get to the end of the pool by fair or foul means.
